Dry Hair

I'm sitting here with my approx. 8-year-old AGT, and while her hair is really nice and even still has much of its original sheen, I notice that it feels really dry and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions to make it a bit softer and a bit easier to style.

Not a major question... but I'm also procrastinating at the moment... heh (I'm a freelance writer in the summer and should be writing an article for the paper... [img]redface.gif[/img] my dolls do serve as a bit of inspiration, though - sometimes they sit on my lap while I write [img]smile.gif[/img] They are quite good at helping me when I feel writer's block coming on...)

have you tried spritzing with water? Washing her hair in cool water worked well for my Samantha.

I'm so nervous about wetting my dolls' hair for some reason! [img]confused.gif[/img] I will try it, though... that may help.

The water rinse ought to do the trick. She's probably just accumulated some dust in her hair over the years which has given the hair that dry feeling.

Spritz with cool water and then brush with a wire brush starting from near the ends, brushing away from the head.

My hairdresser told me that when a synthetic wig (like those of the dolls) gets dry, you can get the hair a bit wet, put some conditioner on it and cover it with plastic wrap. Let is sit for an hour or so, and then rinse well, making sure no water gets in the dolls eyes.
After that, towel dry, comb, and let the rest air dry completely.
Good luck! It worked great on DDs Sam and Molly, that were getting the frizzies.
